The SubQuake database contains spatial rupture information for worldwide Mw ≥ 7.5 subduction megathrust earthquakes which occurred between 1900 and 2018. It provides epicenter locations (from the ISC-GEM catalogue), rupture contours and if possible seismic asperity contours (i.e. the area where the largest slip occurred). The rupture- and seismic asperity contours have been collected from various sources, specified for each event. The database has been compiled and developed by Elenora van Rijsingen, Serge Lallemand and Stephane Arnal.
